SCHRAMM produces his melancholy-danceable to depressing-energetic post-punk sounds mostly on his own, in his tiny Neukölln cubbyhole — though he's since moved to Wedding. He likes to experiment in the direction of indie rock, pop — and sometimes in directions he doesn't quite get himself — but never loses his own sound in the process.

A lot of what he does comes from his own pen. He calls it a DIY mentality or, jokingly, "his control freak streak", but really it's just an ego thing — that he wants to do everything himself, from production to music videos and the rest.

With the EPs he's released so far, SCHRAMM has experimented his way into a spot somewhere between UK indie rock and post-punk, written a few earworms, and often had to field the question of why he sings in German one moment and in English the next. He pretends to be ready to keep getting asked — but doesn't really believe he'll ever come up with a satisfying answer.
