deafdawg is the solo identity of Fabian Livrée — otherwise guitarist and singer of the band Drens. Where raw guitar riffs and an energetic band sound dominate there, deafdawg opens the gate to an introspective universe: shimmering new wave textures, catchy pop melodies and German lyrics that capture the tension between fragility and breaking out.

Following the debut EP "für immer", "flimmern" marks the next step — sonically darker and denser, moving between driving urgency and weightless melancholy. Thematically, his songs revolve around heartbreak, letting go and the pain of being let go — and they keep returning to the question of one's own part in things falling apart. The theme of depression also runs like a fine thread through his work, sometimes directly, sometimes subtly between the lines. deafdawg is music about vulnerability, self-reflection and the courage to name both openly.
